NGKC began with Mr. Shi Zhaoxin’s dream for an organized Chinese dog fancy. Along with many of China’s growing number of dog fanciers, NGKC has adopted the values, standards, dog registration process, and dog show regulations of the American Kennel Club (AKC).

Founded in 2005, NGKC has taken a large step towards fulfilling this dream by contracting with AKC Global Services. This contract, signed on December 10, 2007 in New York, gives NGKC exclusive rights in China to recording and processing services provided by AKC Global Services.

NGKC is now China’s independent national kennel club. We have already had a tremendous response, and expect rapid growth of all-breed and specialty clubs, breeders, and individual dog owners in the near future.

We have also received tremendous support from the dog media worldwide including Chinese government organizations such as the Xinhua News Agency, and Tianjin’s Commerce and Police departments.

NGKC is committed to helping and organizing all dog lovers, clubs, kennels, and organizations in promoting responsible dog ownership, breeding and exhibition.

NGKC’s Registry incorporates mandatory DNA and microchip in all of its registrations, and mandatory random inspections of all breeders registered with NGKC.

We are a government licensed organization with our headquarters based in Tianjin, and a Beijing office that handles public relations and event operations.
