The show was held at the Beijing International Tech-Mall For Advanced Technology Products Co., LTD.
It was the third NGKC sponsored show following the new for China, and strict AKC Standards, and NGKC’s new Dog Show Rules & Regulations. (The Beijing Siberian Husky Club Show & the Beijing
All Breed Show were the first two earlier in October, 2008).

There were 179 entries at this show, the largest Chow Chow specialty show ever in China.
Ms. Yang Ling, president of the club, was very excited that finally dog shows in China are begining to follow unified standards and dog show rules & regulations. There was one dog that had to be disqualified for bad temperment, and judge Carmen Blankenship explained to the handler that after the dog had been properly re-trained it could enter competions again. She also said that most of the dogs were of exceptionally high quality, the handlers very professional and she was very glad to be judging a show that followed strict standards & regulations. She was honored to judge the Chow Chow in its country of origin.She said that China has made a very wise decision to go with AKC Global Services, and NGKC will become a world recognized registry & club representing China’s dog fancy.
