On December 13 &14, the world’s dog fanciers turned their eyes to Long Beach, California. The eighth annual AKC/Eukanuba National Championship brought over 2,300 Top dogs from 50 states and 52 countries to compete for $225,000 and Top Honors. The National General Kennel Club, the first and exclusive client of AKC Global Service in China, and the only Chinese representative, had its booth on this great event. Unfortunately there was not a dog from China competing at the World Challenge at this event.

During the two days’ show, NGKC distributed the delicate brochures, souvenirs, and DVDs for more than 1000 copies of each, leaving our distinguished friends with great impression with NGKC and China and they showed their concern about the future of AKC-GS and NGKC.

Mr. Shi Zhaoxin, the chairman and president of NGKC brought the 2000-year old Chinese dog fancy culture to the show and drew the highly attention from the canine organizations worldwide. Mr. Shi had deep and wide conversations with the representatives from the organizations, which was a great opportunity for mutual learning and understandings. The show was designed with the concept of a window, through which China learns frrom the internationally advanced canine knowledge and experience and the world is fascinated by the profound Chinese canine culture and its promising future. The DVD video show portrays the revival of the Chinese canine culture and the beginning of the Chinese purebred dog sport gaining international recognition. Thus, the bright future of Chinese purebred dog fancy will definitely be fulfilled by AKC-GS and NGKC holding their hands together.

The representatives of the Chinese dog fancy to the Eukanuba National Championship included Ms. Ranying Wei, Vice President of the Beijing All Breed Kennel Club, and Chairman of Show Time magazaine, Mr. and Mrs. Yanliang Shen, President of Beijing Golden Retriever Kennel Club, Ms. Ling Yang, president of the China Chow Chow Club, and Mr. Yong Tian, President of the Poodle Kennel Club.
