The show was held at the Fuzhou Economy & Trade Exhibition Center, Bell Area, Fujian province. It was the forth NGKC sponsored show following the strict AKC standards. It was the first AKC-GS show held by Fujian All Breed Kennel Club and also it was NGKC’s first show in which all the dogs are identified by the AKC-GS DNA process. The following passage is written by our honorable judge Ms. Harritette Borsuch:

China’s Noted General Kennel Club, American Kennel Club Global Services and the Fujian Kennel Club presented the first all-breed dog show in Fujian Province on February 8. 2009. I was honored to be invited to judge this special event.

The dog show was well attended by a large number of spectators who enjoyed seeing the 84 entries encompassing 28 different breeds.

I found the dogs to be of very fine quality, worthy to be exhibited anywhere in the world, beautifully groomed and well trained to be show dogs. The dogs were very competently handled by exhibitors who graciously followed my hand signals.

It is my hope that exhibitors and spectators found the experience of attending this first ever dog show in Fuzhou as rewarding as I did. It was a great pleasure to see the fine dogs and later meet their enthusiastic owners and handlers. I shall always treasure the memory of this wonderful experience.

China’s Noted General Kennel Club is actively engaged in promoting the sport of dog shows throughout China and there are many dog lovers eager to participate.
